Here is a message from Abi, the Chief Champ in Oxon, for Champs in the county. This could also be a useful excercise for Champs everywhere to adopt.

Change your MS Teams or Zoom background, and your email signature banner, between Wednesday 25th November and Thursday 10th December to raise awareness and enable people across Oxfordshire to access help and support.

The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign that takes place each year. It commences on 25th November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (now also White Ribbon Day), and continues through to 10 December, Human Rights Day, emphasising that violence against women is the most pervasive breach of human rights worldwide.

Although there will be no community events during the 16 days this year, the Oxfordshire Domestic Abuse Partnership is aiming to raise awareness of the campaign by asking professionals across Oxfordshire change their background on Microsoft Teams or Zoom and the banner in their email signature between Wednesday 25th November and Thursday 10th December, to raise awareness and enable people across Oxfordshire to access help and support. We’ve developed four backgrounds and five email signature banners – to take a look, save them, and for information on how to change your background visit the dedicated page.

Together we can make a difference, raising awareness and helping people across Oxfordshire get access to help and support.

We’ve developed four options for backgrounds:
