The Government has recently launched the Ask for ANI (Action Needed Immediately) codeword scheme for pharmacies.

Victims of domestic abuse are able to use the phrase ‘ANI’ in pharmacies to indicate they need further support or help due to domestic abuse. Participating pharmacies will then offer a safe space to talk further, listening non-judgementally and working with the victim to find out what they want to do next. They will then seek help from the police or local support services where appropriate.

A full list of pharmacies involved in the programme in the Thames Valley can be found at here.

Safe Spaces are also available in pharmacies working with UK Says No More, offering victims an opportunity to seek further support. More information can be found here.
