Elmore Community Services are currently recruiting for a team of Domestic Abuse Caseworkers to support new services embedded across Oxfordshire County Council children’s social work services. These roles provide a new inter-professional whole family response to support children and families, aiming to improve outcomes for children, as well as the family unit as a whole. We are recruiting and training practitioners who have either worked with domestic abuse, or have experience and transferable skills from related settings. We currently have two positions available:

DA (Victim) Caseworkers – Our Caseworkers provide intensive 121 support to individuals experiencing abuse. Our aims are to support them to develop insight into their abuser’s harmful behaviours, empower them to safely make positive change, and to increase the safety and wellbeing of themselves and their family. Interventions will be delivered as 121 sessions, and will include safety planning and goal setting, from the perspective of the victim and child’s needs.

DA (Perpetrator) Caseworkers – Our team provide support to parents who are perpetrators of domestic abuse to enable them to safely identify, address and challenge abusive behaviours. This supports individuals to make positive changes to ensure the safety of their victims and promote the wellbeing of their children. Interventions will be delivered through a bespoke structured group-based peer programme, alongside a range of 121 interventions.

Full and part-time roles are available – Salary £23,488.56 (FTE)

We are looking for candidates who have experience of empowering individuals to make positive changes to their lives, supporting clients with complex needs in a relevant field (preferably domestic abuse). Successful candidates will need to be compassionate, non-judgemental, skilled in active listening, and experienced in risk management and safety planning, as well as being a skilled communicator able to develop partnership relationships in a multi-disciplinary team.

The closing date for applications is 9am 27th Jan, with interviews taking place the week commencing 1st Feb.
