Nominations for the Famly Children’s Champion 2020 Award are open!
Famly is a company offering software for early years settings and NSPCC Learning is a promotional partner for the award. The award has been created to recognise and celebrate the important contribution that early years professionals make to the lives of children across the UK, and the winner will receive a £5000 prize.
Nominations are open until the end of January, with a final shortlist released on 1st March 2021. A panel of judges will meet to decide the winner, who will be announced on 31st March 2021.
The vital and skilled work that goes into educating and caring for our youngest children isn’t always recognised for what it is.
We think that needs to change.
To recognise the incredible challenges that this year has thrown at those working in Early Years, we’re looking to celebrate early years professionals who create a nurturing space for every child in their community.
We’re looking for people who embody the joy and wonder of early childhood – someone who every child would be lucky to have as their champion. Tell us why they inspire you, and why you think their work is worth putting under a spotlight.
We hope this is a chance to share those stories beyond our little bubble, and get a very public conversation going about why early years education is so valuable.
Nominations will be open throughout December and January, where the public can vote for their favourite Champion. In March, the final shortlist will be announced and our expert panel of ten will come together to debate the finalists, before they cast their votes.
The winner will be announced on March 31st, and they’ll receive £5,000, while their setting will get Famly Premium for a year – for free.
