Here is a request to participate in a research questionnaire from Max Watt at the University of Leeds on the impact of lockdown and COVID-19 on victims of domestic abuse. We’d encourage those within our network to participate to build up a picture of the impact of lockdown as seen by organisations working with those affected by domestic abuse.

I am an Undergraduate Geography student at the University of Leeds and am undertaking my dissertation on the below topic.

The aim of this study is to understand the impact that COVID-19 and therefore the National Lockdown has had on victims of Domestic Abuse.

I want to raise awareness for this issue within the pandemic. As such I am surveying organisations who work with victims of domestic abuse, to help understand the impact that the pandemic has had on these organisations, as well as finding more out about the work they do. Your assistance in helping the completion of the survey will help me learn more about the impact of the pandemic on victims of domestic abuse and the organisations that are trying to support them.

The survey is completely anonymous and asks no direct questions for specific information about particular organisations or the people who work for them. It should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete. An information sheet is attached with further information.

Please could you distribute this survey to any organisations or people that you work with that may be able to complete it:

I understand people are busy in this difficult time. I appreciate your time and consideration.
