Independent Domestic Abuse Service (IDAS), CGI Ltd. and North Yorkshire Police (NYP) are working together to pilot a series of improvements to the processing, recording and enforcement of non-molestation orders. The pilot involves using the Police National Database (PND), an intelligence led system, to record the orders in a way that makes it easier for Police Officers to access the information they need to ensure effective responses to breaches of these orders.

To evaluate the effectiveness of the pilot we are conducting surveys to see what people’s experiences are of non-molestation orders, this includes clients who obtain orders and professionals acting for them and in support of them. The evaluation is supported by Dr Rebecca Phythian, Edge Hill University. We are particularly interested in responses from the North Yorkshire area, although all responses will be informative and could help to shape the pilot and improve the experience and safeguarding of victims and survivors.
