A new study has found that women with a history of domestic abuse are at a higher risk of atopic diseases, including asthma.
The study was published in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology: In Practice, led by a team of researchers at the University of Birmingham. It found that in an analysis of patient records, there was a significantly larger percentage of women who had atopic diseases and had a history of being exposed to domestic abuse and violence compared to those who hadn’t.
